Account Deletion and Closure

How to delete a CarbiQR user account or request showroom account closure.

This page explains the currently supported deletion and closure flows for CarbiQR users and showroom partners. It also describes what data may be removed immediately and what limited records may be retained for legal, operational, fraud-prevention, payment, servicing, or compliance purposes.

Users can delete in-app User accounts may be deleted from the app through the available account deletion flow.
Showrooms use closure requests Showroom accounts follow a closure-request process rather than instant self-deletion.
Some records may remain Payment, support, servicing, shipping, fraud, and legal records may be retained where necessary.

1. User account deletion in the app

Registered app users can request deletion of their account from within the CarbiQR mobile app.

  1. Sign in to the CarbiQR app using your mobile number.
  2. Open your profile or account section.
  3. Use the in-app account deletion option available for users.
  4. Confirm the deletion request inside the app.

Once the in-app deletion flow is completed, access to that user account may end and the account may no longer be available for normal login or use.

2. Showroom account closure request

Showroom or partner accounts do not always use instant self-deletion. Instead, they may need to submit a closure request through the showroom section of the app.

  1. Sign in to the showroom account in the CarbiQR app.
  2. Open the showroom menu or drawer.
  3. Select the closure request option.
  4. Submit the request with the relevant reason or details.

Closure requests may be reviewed before final approval. Once approved, showroom access may be deactivated and future login may be blocked.

3. What data may be deleted

  • Basic profile and contact information associated with the deleted user account, where removal is reasonably possible.
  • App-level access to the deleted account.
  • Showroom account access after an approved closure request.
  • Certain profile-linked records that are no longer required for active service operation.

4. What data may be retained

Even after account deletion or showroom closure approval, some records may be retained for a limited or longer period where necessary for legitimate business or legal reasons.

  • Payment, order, Razorpay, subscription, shipping, refund, or accounting records.
  • Support tickets, complaint history, dispute-resolution records, or fraud-prevention logs.
  • Vehicle service history, reminder history, and historical servicing references where operationally necessary.
  • Security logs, backups, audit entries, and records required by law, policy, or compliance obligations.
  • Showroom commission, partner review, closure review, and internal operational records where required.
